Scholarships for Current College Students Now Open

The Greene County Foundation’s scholarships for current college students are now open to applicants.  There are currently three separate scholarships available for Greene County students who have completed at least one full year of college and are continuing to finish their degree.  The Helen Hunter Scholarships, Kenny & Ruth Richardson Scholarship, and Linton Tri-Kappa Scholarship are currently open to applicants.  Visit the Scholarships for College Students page to learn more about each of these scholarships and their requirements.  The online application portal can be found at greenecountyfoundation.communityforce.com.

The Helen Hunter Scholarships are awarded to up to four students who are Greene County high school graduates or current residents and are attending an Indiana 2- or 4-year college or university in the fall.  Applicants must be A) enrolled in college as a junior or senior in the upcoming fall semester; B) enrolled as a graduate student in the upcoming fall semester; or C) a returning or non-traditional student (who has attended college but did not complete, or who graduated high school but did not immediately enroll in college) enrolled in college in the upcoming fall semester.  There are three separate application forms for this scholarship, depending on which of the above criteria the applicant meets.

The Kenny & Ruth Richardson Scholarship was established in 2013 and is intended for graduates of Bloomfield High School who are enrolled at an Indiana 2- or 4-year college or university.  Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year of college in the upcoming fall semester.

The Linton Tri-Kappa Scholarship is intended for graduates of Linton-Stockton High School who are enrolled at an Indiana 2- or 4-year college or university.  Applicants must have completed at least 2 full-time semesters (or 25 credit hours) at an accredited institution, and must be enrolled in good academic standing or accepted to an accredited institution of their choice.  Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate strong participation and/or leadership in a philanthropic organization(s).

The deadline for completed applications for the 2019-2020 school year is Monday, June 10th, 2019 at 11:59pm.  We wish all applying students the best of luck!
