Greene County Foundation announces grant awards

The Greene County Foundation is happy to announce that over $109,000 has been awarded to local organizations in the recent Community Support Grant Cycle. Each of these organizations were awarded grants after a competitive application process:

•Bloomfield-Eastern Greene Library – $5,000 for ADA-compliant bathroom renovations at Eastern branch for ADA-accessibility

•Carnegie Heritage and Arts Center – $800 to support art classes for kids and adults

•City of Jasonville – $5,000 to add amenities to Jasonville City Park

•Eastern Greene High School – $470.35 to purchase flexible seating for English 11 and 12

•Erin’s Purpose – $6,126.08 for youth center construction

•Greene County Foundation Paths to Quality Cohort– $4,600 to fund new training program for daycare providers

• Greene County General Hospital Foundation – $9,140.40 for AEDs (cardiac equipment) for sheriffs’ vehicles

• Greene County Literacy Coalition – $4,800 for materials for Language Learning Community Project

•Indiana Wildlife Federation – $6,784.26 for ADA-compliant trail at Goose Pond

•Linton-Stockton School Corporation – $30,000 for early childhood playground

•Shawnee Theatre – $12,534.26 for facility upgrades

•White River Valley High School – $12,000 for Wolverine Enterprises-Print Division
